When the term pain comes, it does not mean a single aspect, rather it is a multi-dimensional sensation that has both physical and mental reactions. Acute Pain:
Acute pains are short-term but lead to high discomfort. In general, this pain informs the person about any internal tissue damage or even an accident. It activates certain responses and causes a high rate of heartbeat along with breathing.
These pains are of several sub-types as well and a very common example is when a patient who experiences a cardiac attack, reports shoulder pain at the same time.
Chronic Pain:
As the name suggests, this kind of pain is long-term and usually stays with the patient with no permanent cure. But, several methods help in reducing the pain to some extent, but can never cure it.
Arthritis is a similar kind of issue and falls in this category as it is incurable and with minor triggering events, the pain gets worse.
